East Hampshire Councillors have approved an application for a 20,000 pv panel array on open farmland in Horndean. When commissioned the new farm is expected to generate almost 5MW of power to the National Grid, enough for several hundred homes. Hampshire FOE coordinator, Ray Cobbett, said, “We think East Hants council have made the right decision coming at a time when demand for power is forecast to increase in the area.”
The application was made by Lightsource Renewable Energy Ltd
