The National
Parks of England and Wales are among the most beautiful landscapes
in the British Isles. The Council
for National Parks' web site provides information about the
National Parks and the work of the Council for National Parks.
As you have
probably seen in the local and national news, there is curently
underway a campaign for a South Downs National Park - this campaign
is made up of a network of organisations including: National Council
for National Parks, Council
for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE), CTC, Friends of
the Earth (FOE), Open
Spaces Society, Ramblers'
Association, Royal
Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), The Wildlife Trusts,
WWF-UK, Youth Hostels Association (YHA); Local/regional - CPRE Hampshire,
